BEGINNERS LEVEL: How and Why to Protect Yourself Around Your Horse Part 3

Greetings my friends, we are back again with my horse Cherry. My motto is, “My training videos are easy enough that a 7 year-old girl can do it”. So, to show this, I am having Bryleigh (a 7 year-old girl) show you how this works.
I’m teaching her how to keep Cherry’s butt away from her.

As a person watches my videos, all they need to do is pay attention. You must watch the horses eyes, legs, ears and, body movements. This will tell you everything. It will tell you if the horse is aggravated, if the horse is tired and, even if the horse is paying attention to you. Even a 7 year-old girl can command the horse’s attention.

In the process of training your horse, you must follow through. Don’t stop halfway. Complete the process, no matter how long it takes. Once they know you are not giving up, they will comply. They will learn that they can trust you and, they can learn to enjoy learning. Horses can be stubborn. They can push your buttons, get you upset and, fight you the whole way. But, if you remain calm and consistent, you will develop a relationship. They will love you and want you to teach them. Watch this video to see how it works. Enjoy!

About Dan Stroud

Besides my family, I have two great passions in my life, competition armwrestling with the World Armwrestling League and my horses. I have been riding horses since I was 3 years old. Horses are spirit creatures that have a highly developed intuition and sixth sense which gives them the ability to perceive a person's emotional state, their attitude, personality and hidden intentions. If you will learn how to teach them with kindness and never give up, they will respect you and your children, and become very loyal friends for life.I wish you many happy trails in your life. – Dan Stroud
